Compare High Performance Parts For Your Muscle Car

Chevy Big Block

There is an abundance of aftermarket high performance parts available for nearly all makes and models from a variety of manufacturers and distributors. We have researched the most affordable and most streetable performance parts on the market to give you the ability to make an informed decision when shopping for the right combination of parts for your Street Machine or Drag Car. Prices quoted on our Website are approximated since they will vary per, distributor and are subject to change without notice. Also, prices will vary as to engine make and application, if your car is a daily driver or an all out race car.

We will continue to add new information on a regular basis, so check our site often if you don't see what you’re looking for right now. We currently are focusing our attention on Classic American Muscle Cars with carbureted, high-performance engines for Street/Strip applications.

We will in the near future include information for more radical Pro Street applications such as blowers, turbos, and nitrous systems.

Click on any of the links below to compare high performance parts for features and value.

Choosing a carburetor or just about any performance parts for your engine is not an exact science. The basic parameters revolve around engine load versus engine size as expressed in cubic inches. Compression ratio, vehicle weight, distributor mechanical advance curve, cam duration, transmission and converter stall speed, and rearend gear ratio all factor into choosing a carburetor. Compare Holley, Demon, Edelbrock and ProForm High Performance Carburetors.

Proper manifold selection is also a matter of choosing the right single or dual-plane manifold because not all of them yield the same performance. Runner and plenum design directly affect performance on the street and on the strip. Compare Intake Manifolds for Performance and Price.

Headers are one of the best buys in bolt-on performance parts for any street machine. Compare Headers and Exhausts Systems here.

Proper cam selection takes into account not only how a particular high performance cam will work with your intake manifold and cylinder head combination but also the carburetor you intend to use or if it'll be injected, if you'll use headers and what the exhaust system pipe sizing will be. You also need to consider whether the cam profile will provide sufficient intake manifold vacuum at idle to run vacuum accessories such as power brakes and air conditioning, etc. Compare Prices and Profiles of High Performance Cams.

Steady and reliable timing sets are critical, to ensure that your cam does the job it was intended to do. There is no sense in throwing a new hot cam into a motor if a faulty or poorly chosen cam drive causes the timing to advance or retard at random. There are a few good choices out there to consider. Compare Double Roller Timing Chains and Gear Dives here.

High quality valvetrain components are among the most critical and often overlooked components in your engine. It does absolutely no good to install a hot cam that will perform up to 8,000 rpm if you don't have the correct springs, pushrods or rocker arm assembly to go with it. These high performance parts must be well matched in order for the engine to reach its full potential. Compare High Performance Valvetrain Components here.

When it comes to aftermarket heads, conservative port sizing with greater velocity for good, low-end torque is better for the street, where large ports are better for high-rpm race use. Compare Aftermarket Cylinder Heads for Out-Of-The-Box Performance.

There are several High Performance Ignition Systems on the market today. MSD, Mallory, and Accel are among the most popular. Compare High Performance Distributors here.

MSD 6AL, Mallory HyFire, Accel DFI 6A, are just a few of the ignition controls available that are are designed to provide more spark to your ignition system. Compare High Performance Ignition Controls here.

Beef up your ignition system with an MSD Blaster, Mallory Promaster or Accel Super Coil. Compare High Output Ignition Coils here.

No ignition system is complete without a good set of plug wires. There are a variety to choose from depending on the application. Compare High Performance Plug Wires.

Don't neglect to address the need for adequate engine lubrication. A high volume oil pump, high performance distributor drive and windage tray are just a few performance parts you may want to include. Compare High Volume Oil Pumps, Pans and Pump Drives and more.

Quench your engines thirst with a high volume fuel pump and pressure regulator. Compare High Performance Fuel Systems here.

JE, Keith Black, Speed Pro and Ross are among the most popular manufacturers of Forged Racing Pistons on the market. Compare Forged Aluminum Racing Pistons and Rings here.

Need a new Tranny? TCI, Hughes Performance and B&M offer race ready transmissions as well as stall converters. For the street, you need to match low and mid-range engine torque to the converter's stall speed. Transmissions and Torque Converters For Street and Strip.

Double the life of your automatic transmission components with a tranny cooler. If you plan to do any drag racing a safety shield may be in order. Safety Shields and Transmission Coolers.

Full manual reverse pattern valve bodies like those from TCI will maximum performance and give you quicker ETs. Compare Valve Bodies and Tranny Pans for Street and Strip.

Dress up your engine with some cool valve covers and a low profile racing air cleaner. Engine Dress Up Kits, Valve Covers and More!

A Driveshaft Safety Loop is required for drag racing if you run under a 12.99 ET. Aftermarket Driveshafts, U-Joints and Safety Loops.

Keep track of your engine RPMs, water temperature and oil pressure with some aftermarket gauges. They look cool too. Auto Meter Tachs and Gauges, Sunpro Tachs and More!

Tremec, Richmond Gear and Steeda offer bolt-on 5-speed overdrive replacement transmissions. Manual Transmissions and 5-Speed Conversions.

Snap a few stock axles? Try a set of unbreakable racing axles from Strange Engineering or Mark Williams Enterprises. Compare Aftermarket Racing Axles here.

These are among the most important drivetrain components to be addressed when building a high performance Street Machine and should never be overlooked. Racing Clutch Kits, Flywheels and Safety Bellhousings.

Try a set of racing gears from Strange Engineering or Richmond Gear. Compare Racing Gears and Spools here.

Racing Shifters for street and strip, straight sticks and automatics from Hurst and B&M. Compare Aftermarket Shifters here.

Forget air shocks! For proper weight transfer and putting the torque to the rear wheels you need the right shocks and springs. Compare Adjustable Racing Shocks and Racing Springs.

Set up your suspension properly with the right springs and shocks. You may want to tie those sub-frames as well. Chassis and Suspension Components for Street and Strip.

There is no more recognizable name in performance rubber than Mickey Thompson tires. Check out Mickey Thompson Tires and Slicks here.

Traction control is important and there are a variety of performance parts available to help with that, whether it's slapper bars, ladders, sliders or pinion snubbers. Compare Traction Bars, Ladder Bars, Slide-A-Link and More!

Dress up your ride with a fine set of racing wheels. Compare Center Line, Weld Racing Wheels, Cragar and More!

Carburetor spacers have two tasks. First to insulate the carburetor from engine heat in order to keep the incoming air and fuel cooler, and second to act as a tuning aid to produce more power. How To Choose a Carb Spacer.
